Presentation
These two PowerPoint presentations were used to introduce Appreciative Inquiry to school staff at a rural Secondary College, here in Australia on 4 May, 2004.
One was used for a presentation/keynote, introducing the concept and background of AI. The other was for a follow-on workshop, providing some experience of AI in practice.
Because the workshop was only 2 hours in duration, it covered only a relatively brief experience of AI – a “taste” so participants could decide whether or not this approach would be something they would like to implement at their school.
I take no credit for the content of these presentations. I owe a large debt of gratitude to a number of AI practitioners who have so generously shared their experiences and materials. In particular for the content of these PPT files, thanks go to David Cooperrider, Sue Annis Hammond, Gina Hinrichs, Mac & Marcia Odell, and Marge Schiller. I am also deeply appreciative of the generosity of spirit shown by so many others involved with the Positive Change Corps and Appreciative Inquiry Consulting.
In that same spirit I would like to share these two PowerPoint presentations I developed, in the hope they may be of some use to other AI practitioners.
