Larissa Loures is a Brazilian psychologist and AI Practitioner who met David Cooperrider in 1996, just after having finished her BA degree in International Business, at Anglia Polytechnic University, Cambridge. At that time David was invited to apply the whole 4Ds of AI at her family’s company, Nutrimental. Following Cooperrider´s advice, Larissa went to The TAOS Institute to attend the Certificate Program in AI, under his and Diana Whitney´s orientation. Right after, Larissa worked as junior consultant, directly with David Cooperrider, in several projects in Brazil and abroad, including URI (United Religions Initiative) and FIEP (Federation of Industries of Paraná). In 2004, she started the PhD Program of Organization Development at Benedictine University, Chicago, oriented by Jim Ludema, but she had to interrupt her studies because of motherhood. After some years dedicated exclusively to her family, she graduated in Family Counseling – a program offered in partnership with the Chicago Center for Family Health, co-directed by PhD Froma Walsh, reference in resilience and positive psychology. After concluding this program, she studied Psychology and graduated at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR). She has been working with individuals, families and organizations integrating appreciative inquiry and positive psychology. She is member of the Advisory Board of the David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry (Vermont) and of the Brazilian Committee formed to join effort to help developing the Positive Education in Brazil. Appreciative Inquiry and Positive Psychology integrates both passions of Larissa. She feels gratitude for being part of this dream.
