Learning is at the core of my work with science education and environmental sustainability projects. My experience is primarily with informal learning, organizational development, and program evaluation approaches. I am passionate about promoting self-directed learning, thriving teams, and behaviors that protect the earth’s environments. Toward this end, I currently study and evaluate informal science education programs at the University of Teacher Education in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Before that I supported research of the Natural and Social Science Interface research team at ETH Zürich, where I served as lead editor to publish a book about environmental literacy. I also evaluated a middle school science teacher training program in Washington State that focused on bridging science and math learning. For me, cultural bridge-building is a key to sustainable development, which was a core aspect of my service in the US Peace Corps; I taught Ecology and Teaching English as a Foreign Language courses at a Chinese university. I am a native English speaker who is conversant in German and holds Liechtenstein and U.S. citizenship.
